Within the framework of the trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, special attention was paid to issues of cooperation between the two countries in the system of education.
The rector of NUUz Avazjon Marakhimov visited a number of important places in Japan, in particular, the Concert Association “Min-On”, the Japan Science and Technology Agency, as well as the Soka School. The meeting with the students was intense. During the visit, the rector laid wreaths at the monument to Alisher Navoi. Gazelles of Navoi sounded above the school alley.
In the official part of the event, Professor Avazjon Marakhimov was awarded the “The most prestigious honorary” title as well as the ceremony of awarding the President of the Soka Gakkai International Daisaku Ikeda with the title of “Honorary Doctor” of the NUUz was held.
In order to establish mutual cooperation in the field of culture and education and to promote the exchange of ideas and information, a memorandum was signed between Soka University and the National University of Uzbekistan. The plans for equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, taking into account the available opportunities were defined in this document.
One of the main goals of the memorandum is the exchange of information within the framework of educational programs and their actions. In addition, it is planned to organize scientific expeditions in the field of archeology and ethnography in Termez and Aksikent. The sides discussed the exchange of scientists and students between universities, cooperation in the field of conduction of joint scientific research, the exchange of literature and periodicals of an educational nature, scientific information and materials.
The events carried out within the framework of the Memorandum will mainly be observed within the framework of coordination of the academic departments of each university and their respective administrative structures conducting international activities. The basis of all efforts should meet the policy and processes of each institution.
The concrete conditions for the above events are set out in separate agreements between the sides, which are jointly drawn up and certified by the signatures of officials. All the conditions for the person responsible for the activities of the sides, and all aspects associated with him are defined in such agreements. Financial arrangements connected with interchange programs will be established by separate written agreements on their implementation. This perspective memorandum will be valid for 5 years.
